# Sharing and roles

A [Knowledge Base](https://atmina.ai/docs/knowledge-bases) can be limited to selected people, shared with everyone in its Team, shared with outside collaborators, exposed through a read-only lens, or made public.

## Permission levels

- Viewers can recall and read.
- Editors can recall, read, and [capture](https://atmina.ai/docs/capture-and-recall).
- Admins can also manage the base, destructive actions, and sharing.

A read-only lens supports monitoring without write or administration. Team membership and KB access are separate: joining a Team does not promise access to every base when its audience is narrower.


Shares can be revoked. Publishing grants anonymous search and reads to the public collection: published pages and permitted referenced assets by default, with explicit owner opt-ins for broader folders. Read [Publish a Knowledge Base](https://atmina.ai/docs/publish-a-knowledge-base) first.
