Reading memory in the app

Atmina keeps the source visible. You can open the files behind recalled answers, read them in context, and move through a Knowledge Base without leaving the current task.

Open a page

Open a Knowledge Base and select Files. Select a text file, or use its Preview action, to open the reading pane. The header shows the page title. Open Details for its full location, a copy-path action, file type, size, and update information.

The same reading surface can open from an Overview item or a link-health result. When a source names a line range, the pane keeps that range with the page. The controls available around the content depend on where you opened it.

Browse from Files

When you open a page from Files, the left rail offers two views:

Use Hide page navigation to give the document more room, and the Browse pages icon beside the title to reopen it. The app remembers this choice on your device. On a narrow screen, use Browse pages to open the rail and Back to document to return to the page. Internal page links open their target in the same reading pane.

Follow context

When the page has it, the lower part of the rail shows page context such as Linked from and related memories. Select a linked item to read it in place. Evidence markers in supported pages identify the source behind a claim.

Use the appearance control in the reader header to choose the reading surface without changing the rest of the application.

View images

Images use the reading pane’s full width. Select the image or Expand image to open the lightbox. Controls and compact format, size, and dimension labels stay outside the picture, with padding around it. Additional properties are available in Details and the lightbox’s Image properties control when that metadata exists.

Below the image, switch between Notes and Description. Notes contain user-controlled context, which an agent can also write on your behalf. Description shows the generated account of the image. Both sections come from the adjacent Markdown companion file.

Play short videos

Open a supported MP4 in Files to play it with the video controls, or choose Download original. Playback starts only when you press play; sound starts muted. Original videos are available to members of the Knowledge Base's owning team who have access to that Knowledge Base.

Supported clips contain H.264 video and optional AAC audio, last up to 10 seconds, fit within 1920 × 1080 pixels (or 1080 × 1920 portrait), and are at most 100 MiB. Files outside those limits cannot be admitted as short-video Assets. The upload service checks the file itself rather than trusting its name.

Use Notes to add context. Video descriptions, transcripts and captions are not generated automatically. Saved clips follow the Knowledge Base's permissions and deletion rules, with up to ten retained versions. An unsaved video returned by a generation provider is temporary; generating it does not save it to memory. Retained binary versions can be viewed or downloaded; the text restore action does not restore video files.

Read retained versions

The small avatars beside History summarize contributors in retained history. Select History to inspect those versions and their editors. Opening an older version labels it clearly. When a previous retained version is available, Changes compares the page you are reading with that earlier version.

Reading is only half of the loop. See capture and recall for putting a decision or finding back into shared memory.
