Audit and privacy controls

The audit view records activity so administrators can investigate what happened and which identity initiated it.

Owners and admins open Audit log to review actions across the Team and drill into an event. A Knowledge Base also has an audit workbench scoped to that base. Entries identify the actor and origin involved when that information is available.

Under Settings → Privacy & audit, choose whether search events retain no drill-down, a compact summary, or full ranked-chunk detail. Query text is retained only when the Team explicitly enables it; otherwise the audit records that a search happened without storing what was asked.

Audit history supports accountability, but it does not replace opening the cited file or version. Use file history for the content itself and your data for export and erasure.
